One of the regional leaders in logistics continues with expansion and innovations

This year, Transfera has set new standards in the field of e-commerce logistics, achieving cooperation with one of the leading global platforms for e-commerce, thereby realizing the largest venture of its kind in the region. In the past six months, the company has successfully cleared and delivered over 2.5 million shipments. This result has been achieved thanks to innovative IT solutions, advanced applications and constant availability of the call center, which enable efficient customer support.

The period of package delivery until arrival at the final destination, which was several months for countries outside the European Union, has been shortened as much as possible in this way. This success has been achieved through continuous improvements and optimization of time and resources, but also through the use of advanced technologies, especially artificial intelligence.

“Entering the e-commerce segment was a big challenge, primarily because such a concept was new, not only for us but also for the Serbian market.

Our range of activities includes tracking the shipment from the moment of the customer’s order in Serbia, through the delivery of goods from abroad, the implementation of import customs procedures, up to the delivery of the goods to the customer’s address. Therefore, the complexity of operations was at a high level from the start, with the expected challenges faced by such a pioneering venture.

In the end, the popularity of this type of trade on our market was not surprising for us; it was the speed with which this concept won over consumers in Serbia, ” said Vladimir Radović, a member of the management board of Transfera.  

As a confirmation of the implementation of advanced solutions, Transfera will soon bring another global e-commerce platform to the region, further expanding the range of its services. At the beginning of 2025, the new service will be available in as many as five countries of the region, enabling easy, fast and safe delivery of goods to clients.

Business expansion in the region

After the opening of a representative office in the People’s Republic of China, a joint company with the Austrian Railways – Rail Cargo Logistics Serbia and 26 locations throughout Serbia, Transfera Bosnia and Herzegovina, which currently consists of business units in Sarajevo, Gradiška and Bijeljina, has also started operating this year. In addition to business units in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Transfera will open its company in the market of North Macedonia in the coming year, thereby further strengthening its regional influence.

Transfera will end the year 2024 with record business results, growing into a business system with 550 employees, and the revenue achieved in the current year will be close to 140 million euros.
