With a capacity of 90,000 packages per day and an accuracy rate of 99.8%, the innovative system in Transfera’s logistics center enables faster and more reliable shipment processing for the Western Balkans market.

Transfera, one of the largest logistics companies in the region, began revolutionizing modern e-commerce in the Western Balkans nearly two years ago. By collaborating with the world’s leading e-commerce platforms, it has established itself as a pioneer in the most popular form of trade, delivering more than 10 million shipments in the past year alone. The next step followed naturally – an investment in technology that would significantly enhance the operational efficiency and scalability of the entire process.

The new automated parcel sorting machine implemented at Transfera’s logistics center is the result of a project that was intensively developed over the course of a year. Designed to handle increasing volumes, accelerate shipment processing, and ensure a high level of accuracy in daily operations, the sorting machine enables the handling of more than 90,000 packages per day, with maximum precision in identifying and sorting shipments. By using such a system, the possibility of errors is minimized, ensuring a stable and reliable flow of large quantities of goods through the logistics system.

The sorting machine is based on cross-belt technology and is supported by advanced modules for package separation and centering, as well as a high-precision 6D scanner. Through additional development of technical and software solutions, Transfera’s project team successfully adapted the system to efficiently process various types of e-commerce shipments, including a wide range of consumer goods such as clothing, footwear, and sports equipment.

Approximately 20 experts from various company sectors participated in the project, and so far more than 400,000 shipments have passed through the system, with a consistent reading accuracy of 99.8% for successfully identified packages.

By implementing this system, Transfera further enhances the speed, accuracy, and reliability of its logistics processes, creating a strong foundation for the continued growth of e-commerce operations in the region.
